Getting a Digital Drawing Tablet for Cheap

If you're an artist on a budget or just want a cheap laptop with a pen-based touch screen, I recommend you buy a used Lenovo from eBay. Businesses will often dispose of their old devices through companies that will sell those devices for a huge discount. This means that you can get a flagship laptop for less than a hundred bucks for the small trade-off of it being a few years old.

I've done this twice now: once for myself and once for my mother. I'll be focusing on the laptop I got for myself because it was the only one with a touch screen.

For price comparisons: - Wacom's entry-level pen display (13") is $300 USD. - Gaomon's 11" pen display is on a slight sale right now for $200 USD. (I'm ignoring the super-clearance on the 15" that will be gone before I publish this.) - XPPen's Artist 12 (11") is also $200.

All three of these tablets that require an independent computer to run them.
